"NASA Seeks 4 Volunteers for Yearlong Mars Simulation Mission"

NASA is seeking four volunteers to participate in a year-long simulated Mars surface mission inside a 1,700-square-foot Mars simulation called the Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog (CHAPEA) at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The crew will carry out mission activities, live in close quarters, and face challenges such as minimal contact with the outside world, limited resources, and equipment failures. Applicants must be healthy, motivated U.S. citizens or permanent residents, non-smokers, 30-55 years old, and proficient in English. The mission is set to begin in the Spring of 2025.
