Ancient Giant Predator Worm Unearthed in Greenland's Seas

Scientists have discovered the fossilized remains of a giant carnivorous worm, Timorebestia koprii, that ruled the ancient oceans over 518 million years ago in Greenland. Measuring around 30 centimeters in length, this creature was a dominant predator with large jaws and fins. The discovery sheds light on the early stages of animal evolution and the role of ancient worms in shaping ocean ecosystems before the Cambrian Explosion.
