"New Free Greenhouse Gas Tracker Launched by Satellite Imagery Analysis Firm"

Satellite imagery analysis provider Kayrros has launched a free global methane tracking map using data from the European Space Agency's Sentinel-5P satellite and the International Space Station. The map identifies 5,645 methane super-emitters worldwide, with the majority coming from oil and gas, coal, and waste and agriculture sectors. Kayrros is calling for a ban on super-emitters, stating that reducing methane emissions would have the same impact on curbing rising temperatures as removing all cars and trucks from the road. The launch coincides with the UN Climate Change Conference, where methane reduction is a key focus.
