Unveiling Neptune's Enigmatic Dark Spots

Astronomers have discovered a large and mysterious dark spot on Neptune using the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope. This is the first time an Earth-based telescope has observed such a phenomenon on the blue planet.
