"Stunning Hubble Photo Reveals Massive Baby Star in Star-studded Nursery"

The Hubble Space Telescope has captured a stunning image of a bright stellar nursery, featuring a massive protostar called OH 339.88-1.26. Located about 8,900 light-years away in the constellation Ara, OH 339.88-1.26 is estimated to be 20 times the mass of the sun. The image also reveals dark dust lanes and bright stars with diffraction spikes. The observations were part of a study to better understand the formation and nature of protostars, and were supported by ground-based telescopes ALMA and SOFIA.
