Rare element found in exoplanet's atmosphere by scientists.

Scientists at Lund University have discovered the rare metal terbium in the atmosphere of exoplanet KELT-9 b, using a new method for analyzing exoplanets. Terbium is a rare earth metal that belongs to the lanthanoids and has never been found in any exoplanet's atmosphere before. The discovery of terbium in KELT-9 b's atmosphere is surprising and opens up the possibility of finding out more about the atmospheres of other exoplanets.
