The James Webb Space Telescope has captured an image of a distant and highly dust-obscured galaxy, AzTECC71, from just 900 million years after the Big Bang. This suggests that the early universe may have been much dustier than previously thought, shedding light on its evolution. The galaxy was initially spotted by the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope and the ALMA radio telescope but seemed to vanish in images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
