Tonight, the moon will be in its last quarter phase, appearing half-illuminated, and will be visible in the Taurus constellation. Skywatchers will have the opportunity to observe prominent celestial objects in the Bull. The moon will rise around 11 p.m. EDT and be visible throughout the night until it disappears below the horizon at around 2:26 p.m. EDT the next day. This phase marks the halfway point between the full moon and the new moon, with the illuminated portion of the lunar face gradually receding. The new moon will mark the start of a new lunar cycle on September 14.
