A recent study introduces a toolbox of AI models capable of detecting brain ripples, crucial for memory organization and affected in disorders like epilepsy and Alzheimer’s. These models, initially trained on rodent data, have been successfully tested on non-human primate EEG data, indicating potential for human application. Over a hundred machine learning models from the project are now openly available for research use, offering new avenues in neurotechnology applications and aiding in the diagnosis and understanding of neurological disorders.
