Researchers have conducted a functional characterization of genetic variants associated with Alzheimer's disease in microglia, a type of immune cell in the brain. The study utilized various datasets, including pcHi-C, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, and HypR-seq, to investigate the impact of these variants on gene regulation and chromatin interactions. The data from the study is available for further analysis, and the custom code used for data analysis has been made publicly accessible. The findings provide insights into the genetic architecture of Alzheimer's disease and its association with microglial function.
