Helen Rimell, a documentary photographer, has won the Bob & Diane Fund Award for her intimate photos documenting her mother's battle with early onset vascular dementia. Rimell's work captures the true face of dementia, showcasing the pain, heartbreak, and fear associated with the disease. She plans to use the $5,000 prize to produce a photo book that includes her emotional messages to her loved one, highlighting the raw and vulnerable aspects of caregiving.
