More than half of the 122,000 customers who lost power during Sunday's storms in Memphis have had their electricity restored, but the remaining 51,000 may have to wait several days due to extensive damage to electrical infrastructure. The water system is operating normally, and a boil-water advisory issued for less than 1,000 Shelby County customers is expected to be lifted Wednesday. Repair crews are working 24/7 to fix the damage, but MLGW President Doug McGowen said he could not estimate when all power would be restored.
