Strange-Horned and Tentacled Rabbits Spotted in Colorado
A virus called cottontail papilloma virus is causing rabbits in the US to grow black, tentacle-like growths on their heads, leading to warnings to avoid these infected animals. While not harmful to humans or pets, the disease can severely affect rabbits, sometimes causing death or cancer, and there is no known cure. Experts advise caution and avoiding contact with the mutated rabbits.
