Carole Clark, the grandmother of University of Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark, got to see her granddaughter play in person for the first time at Wells Fargo Arena. Carole's husband, Dwaine, passed away 19 years ago, and she has watched Caitlin's games on television ever since. Despite missing out on tickets, Carole was able to attend the game thanks to her son's connections. She was overjoyed to witness Caitlin's impressive performance and felt proud of her accomplishments. Carole cherished the opportunity to see her granddaughter play and called it an amazing experience.
Caitlin Clark puts on a dazzling performance in her hometown of Des Moines, leading the Iowa women's basketball team to a 104-75 victory over Cleveland State. Clark scored a game-high 38 points, including a career-high nine three-pointers, and moved into ninth place on the all-time scoring list. The win was made even more special for Clark as she played in front of family and friends in the arena where she first made a name for herself as a prep phenom.
