"Undercooked Bacon Linked to Tapeworms in Man's Brain Causing Migraines: Study"
A 52-year-old man suffering from severe migraines was found to have tapeworm larvae in his brain, likely caused by his preference for undercooked bacon. The man had a history of chronic migraines and type-2 diabetes, and tests revealed multiple cysts in his brain, leading to a diagnosis of neurocysticercosis. The man was successfully treated with medication after 14 days. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns that consuming undercooked and infected pork can lead to tapeworm infection, with symptoms including headache, epilepsy, dizziness, and stroke.
