Ukrainian retailers are facing significant losses and disruptions due to the month-long blockade of the Polish border by Polish truckers. The blockade has resulted in around 2,500 trucks being stuck at the border, causing one day of downtime to cost a single company approximately $27,000 in losses. The direct losses to Ukraine's economy are estimated to be around $437 million as of November 22. The blockade has complicated the delivery of imports, leading to potential shortages and increased prices for consumers. Retailers are struggling to find transportation, and logistics costs have significantly risen.
