Apple has updated its "Legal Process Guidelines" to acknowledge that government and law enforcement agencies can request push notification information. Previously, Apple and Google were unable to disclose this due to restrictions by the US government. However, a restriction was recently removed, allowing Apple to include this data in its transparency report. The next report, covering the second half of 2022, will provide details on government requests for customer data.
Activision Blizzard released its first transparency report, revealing that it received and investigated 114 reports of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation filed by employees in 2022. Out of those incidents, investigators substantiated 29 of them, some of which involved multiple employees. This report comes after CEO Bobby Kotick claimed the company "did not have a systemic issue" with misconduct against women. The report also comes in the midst of Microsoft attempting to close the Activision Blizzard acquisition, which is still awaiting approval from the FTC.
The Arbitrum Foundation has agreed to split its controversial governance package into separate votes after facing backlash from the community. The foundation will also rebrand its "special grants" program to the "Ecosystem Development Fund" and provide a transparency report on its budget. Additionally, the foundation pledged not to sell more tokens in the near future and will subject the 750 million ARB token allotment to a standalone vote.
