The NFL is fining over 100 players and numerous team employees for violating league policies by reselling Super Bowl tickets for profit, with penalties including fines, suspension risks, and restrictions on future ticket use, as part of ongoing efforts to enforce fair conduct and protect fans.
California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell's campaign appears to have spent large amounts of donor funds on Super Bowl tickets and luxury accommodations, including over $22,000 on event tickets with the San Francisco 49ers and nearly $31,000 on tickets for a fundraising event at Allegiant Stadium. The campaign also reimbursed $962 for tickets to a 49ers co-owner and spent thousands on high-end items and accommodations, including hotels in Dubai, London, and Germany. This comes amid questions about how Swalwell, who has reported massive debts, landed the tickets and spent over $90,000 on travel expenses in the last three months of 2023.
