ABT conducted extensive road tests and enlisted DTM drivers for development. Orders are being accepted with a starting price of €598,000 ($651,562).
Dan Hryhorcoff of Pennsylvania built a 200% scale bumper car out of an old Chevy Aveo and a motorcycle, inspired by the 1953-model bumper cars at Knoebels amusement park. Measuring 13 feet long and twice the size of the original, the bumper car is fully street legal and features a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive setup. Hryhorcoff, an engineer with a passion for mechanical projects, used his knowledge of fiberglassing to create the body. This is not his first project, as he previously built a larger version of a pedal car from the '50s.
One of the 12 Maserati MC12 race cars has been turned into a street car by Ai Design, and it participated in this year's Gold Rush Rally on the West Coast with Team Loan Sharks. The MC12 Versione Corse has a 745 horsepower derivative of the Enzo V12 with a higher, 8,000 RPM redline than the street cars. Ai Design had to make the car capable of finishing across from the bottom of America to the top, including adding an EDO Competition brake upgrade, Ferrari Enzo A/C unit, upgraded electric system/lights/fuel system, street suspension/wheels, and an overhead systems pod. The car finished the rally, driving all the way from San Diego, California to Coeur d'Alene in Idaho, despite catching on fire due to the paint protection film heating up.

Ford CEO Jim Farley has teased the idea of a street-legal version of the Mustang GT3 race car, which is being developed to compete in various racing series around the world. It's unclear how much of the GT3 race car could be translated over to a street-legal variant, but if made, Ford could target the likes of the Porsche 911 GT3 or even the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with its own street-legal race car. The Mustang GT3 will be powered by a modified version of the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 being developed in-house by Ford Performance, and will feature a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox and carbon fiber body panels.
