Swedish automaker Koenigsegg is auctioning off its only race car, the 2007 CCGT GT1 Competition Coupé, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Developed for GT racing, the car features a five-liter V8 engine producing up to 600 hp and comes with race-ready modifications. Despite never racing due to changes in regulations, the car is fully certified to run in certain historic racing series. It is expected to sell for between $3.8 million and $5 million.
The only Koenigsegg racing car ever built, the CCGT, is up for sale at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Originally intended for GT1 racing, the car was never able to compete due to a regulation change. It has been owned by a private individual who has only used it for occasional displays and demonstration runs. The car is estimated to sell for $3.25 million to $4.36 million and would be eligible to race in the Masters Historic Racing series.
