"SpaceX Releases Slow-Motion Video of Raptor Rocket Engine Shutdown"

SpaceX has released a slow-motion video showing a Raptor vacuum engine shutting down, revealing visible rings in the exhaust due to flow separation at sea level and low chamber pressures. The Raptor engines power the Starship spacecraft, with six engines for landing and 33 for the Super Heavy rocket. These engines are more powerful than those used by the Falcon 9 rocket and are crucial for SpaceX's ambitious missions, including crewed flights to the moon and potentially Mars in the 2030s.

"Captivating Photos of SpaceX Starship Rocket's Brute Force Liftoff Explosion"

Remote cameras captured the stunning view and force of SpaceX's rocket launch that exploded minutes later. Houston Chronicle photographer Jon Shapley set up remote cameras at least a day in advance to capture the launch of the world's most powerful rocket from SpaceX's launch site. The launch pad was heavily damaged, and Shapley was able to retrieve three of the four remote cameras that he initially set up. The Super Heavy rocket failed to separate from the Starship spacecraft, and they began to spin above the Gulf of Mexico before erupting into a big fireball.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Prepares for Mars Launch and Starship Orbital Launch Next Week.

SpaceX may be launching an orbital test flight for its Starship spacecraft as soon as next week pending a license from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). The spacecraft is designed to traverse deep space, including the Moon and Mars, and is scheduled to separate from the Super Heavy booster upon launch. The Starship will be propelled into Earth’s orbit while the Super Heavy will travel to the Gulf of Mexico. The Starship will then make its return by making a vertical landing in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii.

SpaceX's Starship set for historic launch.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has named April 10 as the primary expected launch date for SpaceX's Super Heavy rocket and Starship spacecraft, which will test the flight systems ahead of future missions that will see the vehicle transport crews to the moon and possibly to Mars. The FAA has yet to make a decision on the all-important launch license, and environmentalists could file a civil lawsuit to prevent the launch from taking place. The Super Heavy rocket will create 17 million pounds of thrust, making it the most powerful rocket ever to have flown.
