Teresa Taylor, the drummer for Butthole Surfers and actor in the 1990 film Slacker, has died at the age of 60 due to lung disease. Taylor, also known as Teresa Nervosa, played drums in her high school marching band and joined the San Antonio-based rock band after being recruited by fellow percussionist King Coffey. She left the band in 1989 after experiencing seizures caused by a brain aneurysm but returned for some tour dates in 2009. Taylor had a small but memorable role in Slacker as a “pusher” trying to sell an unusual Madonna souvenir.
