Twin Cities brace for thunder, snow, and potential severe storm system.

A winter storm watch has been issued for central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities area, from Friday evening through Saturday morning. The storm system will bring a mix of rain, ice, snow, and thunderstorms in two waves of precipitation. Heavy snowfall, blowing and drifting snow, and slippery road conditions are expected, with snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches possible.
