Samsung Wallet Introduces Mobile Driver's Licenses for Select US States

Samsung has announced that users will soon be able to upload their driver's licenses and state IDs to Samsung Wallet, with plans to allow apps to use the ID for age authentication in the future. This move comes as Samsung catches up with Apple in bringing digital verification technology to its products. Initially, users from Arizona and Iowa will be able to add their documents to Samsung Wallet, with more states expected to be added later. Samsung Wallet Enhances Student Convenience with Dorm Room Access and Payment Integration

Samsung Wallet has partnered with Transact Campus to allow students at 68 colleges and universities in the USA to store their student ID information on the platform. Students can use Samsung Wallet to unlock doors at academic buildings and dorm rooms, as well as make NFC-based payments at select participating higher education institutions. The Power Reserve feature enables students to use their digital IDs even when their phones are powered off due to low batteries. The student ID information is stored in a secure environment on the device for maximum security.
