The coldest temperatures in the U.S. today were recorded in Monticello, Kentucky at -22°F, Kremmling, Colorado at -18°F, Forest Center, Minnesota at -18°F, and two places in Wyoming at -37°F. The states expected to be the coldest are Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, with parts of northeastern Minnesota falling to -32.1°F and parts of Wisconsin dropping to -25.5°F. The coldest temperature ever recorded in the U.S. was -80°F in Prospect Creek Camp, Alaska, and for the Lower 48 states, it was -70°F in Rogers Pass, Montana.
