New Android App Offers Anti-AI Camera Features

Google Photos: RAW Image Backup and Grid Display Updates

Google Photos is now prompting some Pixel users to back up their RAW photos, which will be displayed in the main Photos feed. However, RAW files are large and can quickly consume Google One storage. There is currently no way to restrict RAW uploads, so users who frequently shoot in RAW should exercise caution to avoid running out of storage. It is recommended for most users to shoot in JPEG format.

The RAW images are labeled as such and can be viewed alongside the corresponding JPEG. However, this change may impact mobile data caps and Google One storage limits.
