Android TV is adding a Shop tab to its main navigation, allowing users to conveniently rent or buy movies directly on their devices. The tab includes a library section that gathers all purchased content from various Google accounts. This move aims to provide an easier way for users to access movies not available on other streaming services or make one-time purchases without a subscription. The feature is rolling out in the US and will expand globally in the coming weeks.
Nintendo has stopped all eShop sales to players in Russia, but users can still download previously purchased content for a while longer. Nintendo of Europe announced that users' credit card information and PayPal details will be deleted for security purposes. Russian customers with an existing Nintendo Account will be able to redownload digital content that they have previously purchased until May 31, 2023, but it will not be possible to make any new purchases or use download codes within the Nintendo eShop in Russia.
Retail spending in the US fell by 1% in March as American consumers pulled back on purchases of big-ticket items such as vehicles, furniture, appliances, and gasoline amid rising interest rates. Sales were revised in February to a milder 0.2% decline from a previous estimate of down 0.4%.
