Microsoft's generative AI-based chatbot, formerly known as Bing Chat and now called Copilot, has left the public preview stage and is now generally available. Copilot is now backed by the Universal Commercial License Terms for Online Services, including Microsoft's Customer Copyright Commitment, providing commercial data protection at no additional cost for Microsoft 365 commercial and educational plan subscribers. Support for Copilot with commercial data protection will be extended to Entra ID users in the future. Existing users can continue using Copilot, while those interested can access the official documentation or Microsoft's adoption kit for more information.

Microsoft's AI-powered Copilot feature, which integrates generative AI into Windows 11, has entered public preview with the latest Windows Insider Preview build. Copilot allows users to chat with an AI assistant and create AI images using OpenAI's DALL-E 2 model. It also offers the ability to change Windows settings and execute commands, saving users the effort of navigating through the Settings app. However, the initial preview does not include all the features announced last month, such as third-party plugin support.
