Russia has successfully launched a Progress cargo ship from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, carrying supplies and equipment to the International Space Station. The uncrewed spacecraft will dock at the space station's Zvezda module on August 24 and stay for six months before disposing of the station's trash in a fiery reentry. This mission, designated as Progress 85 by NASA and Progress MS-24 by Russia, marks the 117th flight of a Progress spacecraft since its debut in 1978.
