Memorial Day air travel in the US has hit a new post-pandemic record, with the Transportation Security Administration screening 2,658,057 passengers on Thursday, just a few thousand short of the pandemic-era high set last Friday. TSA Administrator David Pekoske said the agency expects to screen 10 million passengers over the Memorial Day period, and is ready with more staff on hand. The agency also announced an expansion of the PreCheck program to include teens traveling with their parents or guardians.
