"Intel Probes Instability Issues in Core i9 CPUs for Gaming"

Intel is investigating reports of game crashes on high-end Core i9 desktop CPUs, including the 13900K and 14900K models, which may be related to the processors running above their specified power limits. The issue primarily affects games made with Epic's Unreal Engine, and related CPUs like the i9-13900KF, i9-14900KF, i9-13900KS, and i9-14900KS may also be affected. While Intel hasn't pinpointed the cause, support documents from Epic Games and other developers suggest that adjusting BIOS settings or manually restricting processor speed may help. In the long run, motherboard makers could address the problem through future BIOS updates.
