Right-wing populists in Poland, led by the Law and Justice (PiS) party, are protesting against the new ruling pro-EU coalition's resolution to restore the impartiality and reliability of public media. The PiS party, which was accused of turning state-owned media into government propaganda mouthpieces, claims that media pluralism and strong anti-government media are essential for democracy.
