"Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Alleging Police Brutality in Former NFL Player's Custodial Death"
The estate of former NFL player Glenn Foster Jr. has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against officials in Pickens County, Alabama, alleging that members of the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and Pickens County Jail are responsible for Foster's death. Foster died in December 2021, two days after being taken into police custody following a reckless driving arrest. The lawsuit claims that Foster was "tortured" during the arrest, with excessive force used by the defendants. The family is seeking damages exceeding $75,000 and is represented by civil rights attorney Ben Crump.
