China's first domestically produced passenger jet, the C919, completed its maiden commercial flight on November 9, marking a milestone in the country's efforts to become a global aviation player. The jet, which can seat up to 168 passengers, was developed by state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and has been in development for over a decade.
