A judge has dismissed claims by liberal watchdog group American Oversight that a panel researching the possible impeachment of Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz violated the state's open meeting laws. The judge ruled that the claims were filed prematurely and that the group should have given the district attorney more time to decide whether to launch his own lawsuit. However, the group is still allowed to seek records from the panel. Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos had asked former state Supreme Court justices to advise on whether impeaching Protasiewicz would be justified, following her remarks about the GOP-drawn district boundaries being "rigged."
