Nebraska Police Officer Killed in Traffic Stop Crash
Veteran Ceresco Police Officer Ross Bartlett was killed in a car crash when his cruiser was rear-ended by a pickup truck after making a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska. The 54-year-old officer, who also served as an investigator for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and with the Ceresco Volunteer Fire Department, left behind a wife and daughter. The driver of the car suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the pickup driver was not seriously hurt. Funeral services are pending, and flags were ordered to be flown at half-staff in honor of Officer Bartlett.
