Blair man arrested after 17-hour standoff near West Point

Nebraska State Patrol arrested a 70-year-old man from Blair after an hours-long standoff in Cuming County. The man, who was threatening self-harm and had previously made threats to harm others, was located in a deer blind. After firing shots and shooting down a drone, the NSP SWAT Team was activated. The standoff ended when the man surrendered after an armored vehicle pushed the deer blind onto its side. He was arrested for terroristic threats and obstruction. No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.
