Canon has announced major firmware updates for its cinema EOS cameras, including the C500 Mark II, C300 Mark III, C70, R5 C, and XF605. The updates bring support for the new RC-IP1000 Remote Camera Controller, flexibility with file naming conventions, compatibility with zoom lenses and adapters, vector scope enhancements, and more. Canon has also introduced a new Multi-Camera Control App that allows users to control up to four cameras from a single iPhone device. The firmware updates and app will be available for free download in early December 2023.
