Edward Mathews, a New Jersey man, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of bias intimidation for his racist rant against his Black neighbors. The incident, which occurred over two years ago, went viral and sparked outrage in the Mount Laurel community. The mayor is now calling for a federal hate crime investigation. Mathews was also found guilty of a drug offense after hallucinogenic mushrooms were discovered in his home.
