Ohio Marine Veteran Killed in Ukraine

Cooper "Harris" Andrews, a US Marine veteran, was killed in Ukraine while defending evacuees alongside others who were killed during a battle for a crucial road to Bakmut. Andrews joined the Foreign Legion, a group of foreign fighters assisting Ukrainian forces since being invaded by Russia. He served in the Marines from January 2017 to Jan. 16, 2022, before being discharged as a ground electronics transmission systems maintainer and traveling to Ukraine.

American Volunteer Marine Killed in Ukraine Ambush

Doctor and Mother Killed by Mortar Strike in Sudan.

Nagwa Khalid Hamad, a beloved ophthalmologist, wife, and mother of four, died in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, when a mortar hit her home during the ongoing conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group. Her son, Khalid Osman, an engineer for Boeing and a U.S Army veteran, spoke about his mother's life and death, describing her as "a true angel" who was always there for everyone.
