Doctor and Mother Killed by Mortar Strike in Sudan.

Nagwa Khalid Hamad, a beloved ophthalmologist, wife, and mother of four, died in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, when a mortar hit her home during the ongoing conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group. Her son, Khalid Osman, an engineer for Boeing and a U.S Army veteran, spoke about his mother's life and death, describing her as "a true angel" who was always there for everyone. The conflict has claimed at least 400 lives and has left many areas of Khartoum devastated.
