
Wrestling Federation Election Upset: Controversial Candidate Wins, Wrestlers Resign in Protest
Mohan Yadav, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, lost his bid for the post of vice-president in the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections. Yadav, who is also the chief of the Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association, received only five votes, while candidates supported by former WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh emerged as winners in their respective positions. Sanjay Singh was elected as the new president, defeating Anita Sheoran, while Devender Singh Kadian claimed the senior vice-president's post. Prem Chand Lochab won the position of secretary-general.
