Madhya Pradesh's new Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, has banned the sale of meat and eggs in the open under existing food safety rules. The decision was made during his first state cabinet meeting, and the implementation will be preceded by public awareness measures. The government also announced other initiatives, including welcoming those going to Ayodhya and providing financial support to tendu leaf pluckers. A campaign will be launched to enforce the ban on the sale of meat and fish in the open from December 15 to 31.
