"Baltimore Poll: Brandon Scott Leads Mayoral Race and Cash on Hand"
Mayor Brandon Scott has seen a surge in support among Baltimore voters, with his favorability rating increasing by 18 percentage points and his job approval rating rising from 37% to 46%. A recent Goucher College Poll and The Baltimore Banner survey found Scott leading the Democratic mayoral primary race, with 40% of likely Democratic voters supporting him compared to 32% for former Mayor Sheila Dixon. The poll also showed that 70% of likely Democratic voters approved of Scott's response to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. The primary race, which will likely determine the outcome of November's general election in deep-blue Baltimore, features a total of 9 Democratic candidates and 3 Republican contenders.
