Max Secures Streaming Rights for Studio Ghibli's 'The Boy and the Heron'

Max will continue to be the exclusive streaming home for Studio Ghibli films, including the upcoming addition of Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron, following a new deal with distributor Gkids. The wide array of classic and modern Ghibli features has been available on Max since 2020, offering a broader audience access to Japan’s animated cinematic legacy. The Boy and the Heron, which recently won Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, will also return to theaters before its streaming release on Max.
