
August Cannabis Sales Soar, Setting New Records in New Mexico, Connecticut, and Maine
New Mexico set a new record for marijuana sales in August, with over $48 million in combined medical and adult-use cannabis purchases. The state's cannabis reporting portal shows $34.7 million in recreational marijuana sales and $13.5 million from medical cannabis. Since the launch of both programs, patients and adult consumers have made nearly $724 million in combined purchases. Other states, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan, and Missouri, have also experienced record-breaking surges in marijuana sales.
