Russia's New Lancet Drone Successfully Evades Anti-Drone Nets, Hits US Bradley
Russia's advanced Lancet drones have found a way to evade Ukrainian defenses by using explosively formed penetrators (EFPs) that detonate in the air before reaching the target. The new drones are equipped with lidar technology, allowing them to detonate the warheads at the optimal distance. EFPs can bypass anti-drone nets and pose a significant threat to Ukrainian armored vehicles. While the best-protected vehicles should still be able to fend off the attacks, shooting down the drones or using electronic warfare to suppress them are the recommended countermeasures. Russia's Lancet drones have been advancing in range and capabilities, becoming a significant challenge on the battlefield in Ukraine.
