US Implements New Sanctions to Curb Russia's Military Support in Ukraine

The United States has imposed new sanctions on around 130 entities, including companies in China, Turkey, and the UAE, for allegedly supplying Russia's military with components and technology, as well as supporting its war in Ukraine. The sanctions target critical supply chains that have allowed Russia to bypass international sanctions by exploiting economic relationships with these countries. This marks the first time the US has taken action against the production of Russia's Lancet suicide drones. The US Department of State and Commerce Department also announced additional sanctions targeting Russia's energy, metals, mining sectors, and defense procurement. Despite the sanctions, Russia's economy is expected to grow this year due to support from countries like China, Turkey, and India.
