"Space Baby: Dutch Firm's Ambitious Plan for the Big Bang"

Dutch firm Spaceborn United is pioneering space sex research with the aim of achieving natural conception and birth in the partial gravity environment found on Mars. The lack of gravity presents challenges for sexual intercourse in space, so the company is first focusing on conceiving an embryo in space. Starting with mice, they have created a disk that mixes sperm and egg cells to produce a viable embryo, which is then cryogenically frozen. The firm plans to launch a mission with mice cells next year and hopes to launch a human embryo within the next five to six years. However, ethical concerns remain regarding the hazards of space and the different gravity environments that embryos are not designed for.

"Mapping Mars: Paving the Way for Future Exploration and Habitation"

Researchers at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) have created the Mars Atlas, a comprehensive map of Mars using over 3,000 high-resolution images gathered by the United Arab Emirates' Hope probe. Accurate land maps and local weather data are crucial for safely landing spacecraft on Mars, and the atlas will aid in identifying the best locations for human settlements in terms of landscape, temperature, and resources. Understanding Mars' climate and atmosphere can also provide insights into Earth's climate and help tackle desertification. Additionally, studying Martian conditions in the lab could help researchers develop efficient food production technology for space and optimize agriculture in arid regions on Earth.
