NASA's Artemis III mission, which aims to land humans on the moon by 2025, is facing multiple challenges with the development of the human landing system and space suits. SpaceX, responsible for the human landing system, has made limited progress in developing the necessary technologies, while Axiom, tasked with designing the space suits, is still resolving design challenges. NASA is implementing additional processes and clauses in contracts to ensure mission requirements are met and crew safety is ensured. As a result, the Artemis III crewed lunar landing is unlikely to occur in 2025.
